The First Contact Point open from 1.10.2019
The First Contact Point is intended for foreigners working and studying in Nitra and citizens of Nitra. It provides services the Client Center on the ground floor of the Municipal Office in Nitra at Štefánikova trieda 60. Foreigners will be provided there with all basic information necessary for their stay in Nitra. The First Contact Point is also a place for citizens to report coexistence problems with foreigners in Nitra.

Language intercultural courses for foreigners
These Slovak language courses are designed for foreigners living (working and studying) in the city of Nitra. Each language course is organized for the target group of 15 foreigners and consists of 20 lessons that last 60 minutes. The courses are focused on practical language teaching and are connected with intercultural learning and orientation in the city of Nitra. The courses are free.
Slovak language course for beginners in NITRA / SPRING 2019
Slovak language conversation course for beginners will run twice a week for the period of 10 weeks.
The course is free of charge.

Integration leisure / voluntary programs for foreigners
Integration leisure/volunteer programs for foreigners are organized by the Nitra Community Foundation in cooperation with four partner non-profit organizations in Nitra.
Each organization will create a free, three-month leisure/volunteer program that will help foreigners to learn about Slovak culture and better understand the social context of our community. These programs also help foreigners to create new contacts and grow friendships, which are essential to achieving social inclusion.
Organizations that will provide the programs and the content of the programs will be ready by the end of 2019. The programs will be implemented from January 2020.
