COVID-19: Updated information on entry rules to Slovak Republic
The obligations of a person entering the territory of the Slovak Republic differ depending on whether in the last 14 days before arrival he/she visited a country considered as less risky or another country within the EU or another country outside the EU.

1. Upon arrival from less risky countries a person is not required to report to Regional public health offices, does not have to remain in domestic isolation and does not have to take the Covid-19 test. He/she must monitor health conditions and contact GP by telephone in the event of any signs of respiratory illness.
List of less risky countries (as of 18.9.2020): Australia, Bulgaria, Cyprus, China, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, Greece, Ireland, Iceland, Japan, Republic of Korea, Canada, Liechtenstein, Lithuania, Latvia, Hungary, Monaco, Germany, Norway, New Zealand, Poland, Austria, Slovenia, the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, Switzerland, Sweden and Italy.
2. Upon arrival from an EU country at risk the person has two options:
a) he/she must remain in domestic isolation with members of the common household and register at the latest when entering Slovakia on the website https://korona.gov.sk/ehranica/. At the earliest on the fifth day, he/she must take the test for Covid-19, or if he/she has no symptoms of the disease, he/she can end the home isolation after 10 days without the test.
b) upon entering the territory of the Slovak Republic he/she must provide a negative RT-PCR test not older than 72 hours.
Regardless of which option he/she will choose, everyone is obliged to report electronically or by telephone to the Regional public health office (Regional Public Health Office based in Nitra, phone 0948 495 915) and to their general practitioner.
3. Upon arrival from a country at risk outside the EU the person must always undertake home isolation along with members of the common household and must register at http://korona.gov.sk/ehranica at the latest upon entry into Slovakia and must take the COVID test at the earliest on the fifth day after entry.
