Information for foreigners
on nationwide testing
The deteriorating situation with coronavirus in Slovakia will result in a nationwide testing of the whole population.
The nationwide testing will take place within two weekends, from 31st October till 1st November 2020 and from 7th November till 8th November 2020, always from Saturday to Sunday.
The nationwide testing will help to capture the hidden outbreaks and to slow down the spread of the virus within the population. It gives some time and space to our doctors to take care for the ill patients. By taking part in the testing you will find out your own condition and you also help protecting people around you, your family, friends, co-workers, schoolmates.
Nationwide testing will be carried out on a voluntary basis and it is intended for everyone older than 10 years. People over 65 are not obliged to participate in it. Foreigners living in Slovakia can also be tested on COVID-19. Do not forget to bring any identity document (e.g. ID card or passport) to the testing point. For more information, follow the pages where the testing points will also be published:
For the testing you will visit the closest testing point to your home address.
